La Maison

My name is Lilya, born in Kabylia and adopted by Paris. Born in Tizi Ouzou, I had a quiet childhood, often nurtured by my maternal grandmother, who instilled in me a love for pottery and antique objects. My mother, on the other hand, embodied eternal beauty and elegance with her enchanting garden and floral arrangements.

At 23, while studying finance, I discovered Paris. It was love at first sight with flea markets and the French art of living. I found my first Louis Philippe mirror, two small pieces of furniture, a set of tablewear, and a vase to beautify my charming maid's room located at 17 Avenue Colonel Bonnet, Paris-16. In 2022, my passion for antiques intensified, and Maison Jwa was born. To the word "Maison," I added "Jwa" to express the joy I feel every time my eyes fall on a beautiful mirror, an elegant vase, magnificent table wear , refined furniture, but especially on a majestic antique canvas.
With a collection of objects from yesteryear, I invite you on a journey through time, to dress your home with a mix of period pieces, shimmering colors, captivating atmospheres, scents of yesteryear, and authentic styles. These objects, filled with history, create a unique home. As today's objects will become tomorrow's treasures, I can’t resist, during my travels, finding you selections of eco-responsible handcrafted objects, made by talented and often forgotten artists, whose know-how is rare and precious. Welcome to Maison Jwa.
